]]> This plugin replaces the category checkboxes by a dropdown list in posts administration. You can choose only one category per post.
It works with defaut categories and with custom ones. This is the first public release and there’s no translation of some terms.

Tested on WP 3.1.2 and on 3.2 beta 1

 

NOTE: I’m trying to find some time to update the plugin. Next update will improve the plugin settings:

  • Improved identification of taxonomy by name and slug (ex: Categories [my-custom-taxonomy]).
  • Posibility to show/hide « None » option in select menu.
  • Options list order (by: slug, name; DESC or ASC).
  • Some visual improvements in the settings.
  • Check compatibility with the latest WordPress version.

And it seems that in some cases the settings are reseted (I didn’t look for the cause yet)..
